Combe Martin Bay
SUP South West will meet you in Barnstaple with all the equipment ready to go. We will guide you thought the basics, so no experience is required. You will then head out for a truly relaxing and picturesque experience.
The Taw estuary is at the core of the North Devon Biosphere Reserve and has a diverse ecosystem. The estuary covers a very large area of approx 100 square kilometres and has many different areas of interest.
Combe Martin is protected by rock outcrops from the west and east so makes for the perfect SUP experience for any level, beginner or advanced. The bay has lots of hidden beaches and coves to explore. The coves and secluded beaches are only accessible by SUP. These beaches are often visited by the resident dolphin. You never know your luck you might just bump into him.
Stretching three miles north of Woolacombe, Putsbrough has been voted Best Beach in Britain, 4th Best in Europe and 13th Best in the World .....according to "Trip Advisors Travellers Choice"...... Trip Advisor has recently also awarded Putsborough Sands a " Certificate of Excellence".
